Li (Lilly) Zhang, Ph.D.
Laboratory Director
Dr. Zhang, TCRH Laboratory Director, is an embryologist with experience in assisted reproduction in several mammalian systems. She received her Ph.D. of reproductive physiology at Louisiana State University. She was one of the project directors for the IVF research program of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and became experienced in human assistive reproduction through her work in China.
Since coming to the United States, Dr. Zhang has been working in human and non-human embryology in the area of micromanipulation. Dr. Zhang’s research in this country has been performed at Cornell University, Utah State University, University of Oregon and at Louisiana State University. Dr. Zhang has published over 20 papers on topics relating to mammalian embryology in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Dr. Zhang joined the Texas Center for Reproductive Health team in December 1993. She resides in the Dallas area with her husband Daxun and their son, Ting Ting.
