Early diagnosis of certain cancers combined with aggressive therapy has been life-saving for many individuals. However, the treatment required may damage or destroy the ability to have children. Cryopreservation of sperm prior to starting cancer treatment allows for freezing sperm that can be used later in a life cycle. Our andrology lab will assist you in arranging for this procedure and our physicians are available to consult with you about success with cryopreserved sperm. Research efforts in trying to cryopreserve ovarian tissue are still in the beginning stages. We will assist you in contacting researchers working in this field if you believe you may be a candidate for ovarian tissue preservation
